Automated Machinery

Quest fabricates using automated machining centers driven by a mix of industry standard ERP tools and custom in-house software. Fabrication instructions, routing status, dashboard statistics, & shipping modules have been fine tuned over many years to ensure quality and efficiency.

Flexible Production Line

Flexible production space allows product to flow through the factory customized to the architect’s and owner’s specifications. Custom software drives the paperless routing of product, as well as barcode scanning, data analytics and quality control.

Metal Panels & Insulation

Quest has a robust in-house metal panel department. Capable of thousands of square feet of production per day to meet the elastic demands of many configurations of non-vision areas within a building’s scope.
Spandrel Glass

In house digital mixing of custom colors – our spandrel line is capable of producing at a rapid rate to keep up with our production of windows. Processes are in place for tempering, coating and sashing the product for production – as well as a special line for oversized pieces.
Assembly & Glazing

The heart of the production line is our paperless assembly and glazing operations. Team members in assembly select parts from stocked carts to screw, seal and assemble the framing of the window.

The glazing crew places all the potential infills inside the framing and prepares it for packaging.
Door Production

Quest fabricates our premium LG300 Lift + Glide sliding doors & M82 Swing Doors in house. Produced on automated double mitre saws, assembled using 2 part epoxy and high-quality steel corner-keys. Integrated into the windows using our proprietary door adapters complete with dry gaskets.
Louver Blades

Quest has two models of unrated and rated extruded louver blades, fabricated in house. This allows for shortened lead times and control of the custom paint to match the framing and other elements.
Insulated Glass

Quest installed state-of-the-art glazing lines in 2013 & 2014. Capabilities include: automated glass picking (double-sided), cutting, low-e edge deletion on the fly, dual sealing lines, continuous spacer bender, dessicant filler, PIB extruders, Argon Chamber and Sealing Robots.

These capabilities ensure quality control and supply chain management to maximize finished window output and on-time delivery.
Glass Tempering

The main ingredient of control of insulated glass and spandrel glass is tempering. In 2015 Quest installed tempering facilities with excess capacity for growth to bring this process in-house. This along with an expansion of our glass software, sequencing for production, and quick turnaround on breakage all contribute to increased production efficiencies.
